What is Wisdom Meditation?

Wisdom Meditation is also known as Insight Meditation or Satipatthana Vipassana Meditation.  Amongst others, Wisdom Meditation develops Mindfulness, Detachment & Knowing (Clear Comprehension), specifically directed towards the ultimate (conditioned) realities - things as they really are.  While the contemporary and secular mindfulness practice gives you mental and emotional wellness, Wisdom Meditation goes further and deeper than that.

Wisdom Meditation is based on the Great Discourse on the Four Foundations of Mindfulness (Mahasatipatthana Sutta).  It goes profoundly deep, as it develops the perception necessary for Insights-Wisdom.  It loosens our attachments to views, judgments, egos and reconditions the mind for the highest happiness - liberation.  In essence, the practice goes directly to the cause of pain & suffering and transcends beyond it. 

Yes, happiness can be experienced here and now, as you make your way through this practice right up to the end of the path.  Unlike some practices that require complete seclusion, Wisdom Meditation can integrate with our daily life.  Join us in practice, plant a seed of Wisdom in your heart.
